- BYLAWS COMMITTEE – JANUARY
Update and maintain bylaws and provisions annually or as needed - POWER OF POSSIBILITIES COMMITTEE – MARCH
In partnership with Gatepath, plan annual fundraising event - SUMMER PICNIC COMMITTEE – JULY
Plan and coordinate summer picnic for the adult participants in Gatepath’s programs, who have developmental disabilities (Daytime event with games, dancing and lunch) - MEMBERS PARTY COMMITTEE – SEPTEMBER
Annual member cocktail party planned by Provisionals with Board assistance - BRIDGE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE – OCTOBER
Help plan and participate in the semi-annual bridge tournament - NOMINATING COMMITTEE – OCTOBER/NOVEMBER
Selects board officers for coming year - HOLIDAY PARTY COMMITTEE – DECEMBER
Assist with the planning of our Holiday Party for the adult participants in the Gatepath programs. (Daytime event with games, lunch, and visit from Santa) - CAKE DAY COMMITTEE – MONTHLY
Celebrate monthly birthdays of adult participants at Gatepath’s Learning and Employment Campus - HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE – MONTHLY
Organize members monthly meetings either logistically or by providing refreshments - MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE
Quarterly review of website, develops monthly newsletter, and creates strategic communications and collateral to promote events, activities, and increase member engagement - ADVOCACY COMMITTEE
Work in collaboration with Gatepath’s executive team on a public awareness and advocacy initiative to educate and inform Californians about the importance and value of inclusion for everyone, and for critically important need for state and federal funding to maintain services for those in our communities with developmental disabilities.
